Emergence
Emergence is defined as the starting point and initial motivation of the project. This week we were instructed to analyse the primary issues that contributed to the projects that I am analysing, being made. Design Thinking (Methodology) Definition The steps taken to arrive to an idea for a design. These cognitive steps, help individuals make connections between things they saw or heard and come up with an original end design. The path taken is different from one another as experiences that inspire us are different from one another. If everyone experienced the same thing we would not have different cultures, different architecture and other different forms of art. How I Go About Doing This Understanding I first discuss with the client and try to get as much information as possible about the project/Read and try to understand the brief in order to know what you have to focus on. Researching This will mostly be a phase were I try to understand the background/history of the client/problem and get inspiration on what i can do to solve this task. Resources Gather pictures and other assets related to the project. Sketch I make a sketch of where everything should go. Create I will start working on the project in this phase. Evaluate In this stage I am close to finishing so I discuss with the client if the direction i am heading is the one he is expecting. Submit I send the project files to the client, for printing and publishing.

About project
During these weeks I started doing research on my topic, discussing the history and different uses of graffiti. My Creative Intentions I intend on raising awareness on how graffiti serves as the voice of these artists. They want to change society by exposing it's flaws in front of the citizens in a way that is considered shocking and therefore works. Discussing Graffiti Street Art Examples Different locations have different problems therefore there might be a graffiti that might take time and research for me to understand. I must adopt the 3C's in order to explain it. Content, Concept, Context; to understand what message an image is trying to convey first you have to:
I will be discussing the works in my research part of the journals here During the first lecture, we went to the school's outside Greek theatre. Here we made various pen and paper exercises. Initially we took a piece of paper and doodled with as many mediums as we can as if taking a dot for a walk. We also drew the landscape of whatever was in front of us and the face of the person next to us. I was a bit puzzled as I could not any sense as to what was the meaning of all this, especially the first exercise. It was explained to us later, that this helps us find out which mediums we work better with and help us criticise our work and that of others. I discovered that I work better using pencils and a black fine tip marker. In another lecture, we divided into groups and had to list down what we think when we hear the phrase “celebrating differences”. Then each one of us had to choose word from that list of things and make a list of things that the word we chose reminds us of. I chose the word art, and art reminds me of graffiti. I have decided that I will write about how graffiti artists use this art style to deliver their message.
