Wireframe and UV Mapping
Bolts Added in Zbrush
For this project, I wanted to create 3d models that are as realistic as I can possibly create them. These will be used in an educational videogame related to the social studies history syllabus taught in primary schools. I decided to model four assets from one of my most favourite historical eras; objects and buildings from the era of the knights here in Malta.
My biggest priority was to gain some basic knowledge on how to use Zbrush for the creation of normal maps and get a good grip on how to use Substance Painter for texturing.
The process of creating these assets started in Maya to create the base model, exported to Zbrush to create the details, and finally, work with materials to create the texture.
I believe that I was successful in what I wanted to achieve, but I know I can do better and will look more into it during the next summer.
