Design process

Emergence
​Emergence is defined as the starting point and initial motivation of the project. This week we were instructed to analyse the primary issues that contributed to the projects that I am analysing, being made.


Design Thinking (Methodology)
Definition
The steps taken to arrive to an idea for a design. These cognitive steps, help individuals make connections between things they saw or heard and come up with an original end design.
The path taken is different from one another as experiences that inspire us are different from one another. If everyone experienced the same thing we would not have different cultures, different architecture and other different forms of art.

How I Go About Doing This

Understanding
I first discuss with the  client and try to get as much information as possible about the project/Read and try to understand the brief in order to know what you have to focus on.

Researching
This will mostly be a phase were I try to understand the background/history of the client/problem and get inspiration on what i can do to solve this task.

Resources
Gather pictures and other assets related to the project.

Sketch
I make a sketch of where everything should go.

Create
I will start working on the project in this phase.

Evaluate
In this stage I am close to finishing so I discuss with the client if the direction i am heading is the one he is expecting.

Submit
I send the project files to the client, for printing and publishing.
